Jen Oxler

General Manager

Jen has over 23 years of experience in the health and wellness field. She has a master’s degree in Fitness Management and Wellness Promotions and a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from Western Illinois University. In the past, she has worked as a fitness manager for 24-Hour Fitness, ran biometric screenings and lots of programming for the health and wellness field. She is certified as an ACSM Exercise Physiologist, Certified Menopause Coach, NASM CPT, NASM Corrective Exercise Specialist, NASM Performance Enhancement Specialist TRX certified, Stairmaster HIIT Trainer, Primal Exercise Specialist, Life Coach and Certified POWER coach.  When she is not at the gym you can find her around town running and taking photos.

Erika Geering

Assistant Manager

Erika has over 15 years of leadership experience in facility operations, personal training and group fitness. She believes that fitness is not just about aesthetics but about fostering a healthy mindset and lifestyle. Erika is a certified personal trainer, nutrition coach and behavior change specialist through ACE.  My approach is help you figure out what will work for you to ensure you are abel to reach your goals.

When I’m not at work, you can find me playing taxi to my 3 kids, baking sweets, doing hot yoga or trying out new fitness classes. I’m always eager to learn and grow in my field, and I look forward to helping others unlock their potential on their fitness journeys!

Brandon Moore

Recreation/Rental Coordinator

Brandon is a highly qualified personal trainer and athletic development coach with a passion for empowering individuals to reach their highest potential mentally and physically.  With over 5 years of experience in the fitness industry and 5 years in the military, Brandon provides his clients with the best possible approach for their own personal fitness journey through his knowledge of anatomy and biomechanics.

Kristen Milbourne

Membership/Program Coordinator

Kristen or “KK” our passionate wellness specialist with 10 years of lifting experience and 5 years in pain management. She carries a strong background in customer service and knows how to meet people where they are and guide them towards lasting results. From cryotherapy to Soft Wave therapy, her hands on knowledge of recovery techniques supports clients in moving freely and living fully. Currently working on her NASM certification, Kristen is all about smart training, real connection and helping you feel your best.

Brendan Chapman

Front Desk Attendant

Brendan has a bachelor’s degree in history education and is currently working on his master’s through Fort Hays State University. He has worked in fitness facilities for over 6 years, primarily in member services. His hobbies include sports (GO PACK GO!!), music, and exercising. Brendan is currently training for an upcoming 10K, so you might catch him running around town! In the future, he will look to teach social studies courses at one of the surrounding middle or high schools.

Erin Shields

Erin was born and raised in the Overland Park/Leawood area and graduated from the University of Kansas with a bachelor’s degree in psychology. She discovered her passion for health and fitness during college, diving into the world of strength training. This has remained her go-to form of exercise, as she enjoys the mental clarity it provides and the challenges it presents.

With six years of experience in marketing, Erin excels in her full-time career, bringing creativity and organization to every project.

Outside of work, Erin loves exploring Kansas City’s vibrant food and drink scene, tackling DIY home projects, experimenting with new recipes, cheering on the Jayhawks and Chiefs, and spending quality time with her cats, friends, and family.

Sam Piester

Sam is from Olathe, Kansas, where he developed a passion for fitness through playing AAU basketball with Mo-Kan. High school introduced him to weightlifting, and he has been dedicated to staying active ever since. Currently, Sam is pursuing his NASM certification to become a personal trainer, eager to inspire others on their fitness journeys.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Kansas and works full-time as a pricing analyst, leveraging his analytical skills to drive profitability and improve gross margins.

A devoted KU basketball fan, Sam treats March Madness like a second Christmas. He’s also a die-hard Chiefs supporter, enjoying Sundays watching Patrick Mahomes lead the team. When he’s not working or training, Sam loves spending time cooking and experimenting in the kitchen.

 

 

Melissa Lampel

Front Desk Attendant

Inspired by Dharma Shakti’s community “Yoga on the Beach” classes in California, Melissa began her journey into yoga after experiencing its profound impact on her own health and well-being. This transformation sparked a deep interest in mindfulness and meditation, leading her to study and integrate these practices into her life and teaching.

Melissa blends mindful breath work and somatic flow with Hatha and strong Vinyasa Asana, creating a grounding and balanced experience that supports the mind, body, and spirit. Her classes offer space for busy individuals to pause, reconnect, and find their center.

Outside the studio, Melissa is a passionate volunteer in community gardens, an artist who enjoys painting, and an animal lover who spends time working with rescue groups.

Emily Mason

Front Desk Attendant

Emily is originally from Oklahoma. In 2021, she became interested in fitness after starting her own weight loss journey. During her time in Oklahoma she Managed an Anytime Fitness. She spent her first year in Kansas City as a Regional Event Coordinator for a health club organization. She is married and has both a dog and a cat. She and her husband enjoy being outside and spending time with their family and friends.

Luke Barthol

Front Desk Attendant

Hi, my name is Luke Barthol. I’m a senior in high school at Blue Valley Northwest. I love playing sports and working out. I’ve always enjoyed working out and getting exercise as a kid. I really enjoy watching football or playing fantasy football, and my favorite team is the Packers. I’m really looking forward to meeting and helping people out at Aspiria.
